The operator begins by loading four empty totes into the infeed elevator. The infeed elevator servo then indexes one tote at a time into the servo-driven horizontal tote transfer slide, which then moves the empty tote underneath the conveyor outfeed. A Star robot places the product onto the infeed conveyor which is activated when the product is moved into the tote below it. The tote transfer slide indexes back and forth while filling to assist with product settling. Once the tote is filled, the tote transfer slide moves it along to the outfeed elevator, releasing it. The tote outfeed elevator lowers the tote and enables the conveyor to send it to the outfeed toller conveyor, completing the process quickly and efficiently.
