Automatic Tote System
Project Overview
The operator loads four empty totes into the tote infeed elevator. The infeed elevator servo indexes one tote at a time into the servo driven horizontal tote transfer slide. The tote transfer slide then moves the empty tote underneath the conveyor outfeed. A Star robot places the product onto the product infeed conveyor. The conveyor is turned on moving the product into the tote below. The tote transfer slide indexes back and forth while filling to assist with product settling. Once the tote is full the tote transfer slide then moves the tote to the tote outfeed elevator and releases the tote. The tote outfeed elevator lowers the tote and enables the conveyor to send the tote to the out-feed toller conveyor.
